Rachel Fisher, MBA

As a successful entrepreneur, investor, licensed fiduciary, and Wharton MBA, to say money has played a critical role in my life is an understatement. But what might come as a surprise when hearing that list is that my relationship with money has transformed indescribably over time from one of fear and discomfort to one of power and yes, even enjoyment.

While I was fortunate to grow up in a two-income household, my family didn’t know a lot about managing money. I wasn’t taught how to use it as a tool and when it was discussed, the topic was often stressful or negative. What’s worse, nothing about money is taught in our schools, so most of us reach adulthood with little to no idea how to build a strong foundation, manage risk, and take sound chances to grow our future so we can build generational wealth.

After I sold my first business I became determined to develop a better relationship with money. To understand it. To embrace it. To see it as what it is—the most powerful tool I can have to shape my own life and that of those who matter to me most.

I’m thrilled now having received my MBA from Wharton, engaged in investing in successful businesses, including my own, and served as a mentor to many female-founded startups, to now turn my efforts to helping other women achieve the same sense of ownership of their own finances and pride in themselves.
